The President’s Advisor on Women Rights Hon. Harriette Chiggai joined professionals from Mt Elgon area, Bungoma County in carrying out Corporate Social Responsibility activities and mentoring students of St. Mary’s Kibuk Girls School led by IRIIP GAA Group of Ladies.
The different professionals and State Officers who joined the President’s Advisor include Bungoma County Governor H.E Kenneth Lusaka, the Public Service Commission of Kenya CEO Paul Famba, KCB Group CEO Annastacia Kimtai, and some members of the Western Jurists Forum Foundation.
The schoolgirls were urged to remain focused, resilient, and disciplined. They were also encouraged to make use of the government-established ICT hubs to enhance their digital literacy for economic empowerment and easy access to Government services across the country.
Later the school was presented with water tanks and a solar-powered pump. The girls received scholarships from KCB Bank, amongst other benefits. The President’s Advisor Hon. Chiggai also performed the groundbreaking for construction of the school’s modern ablution block.
She challenged professionals countrywide to regularly return home and initiate projects to support their communities.
